I believe this is wrong. I think rather than ensure for equality in outcome, wed be much better to invest in uplift of women into politics. I can appreciate the symbolic arguments of representation but i take issue with this quanittiave approach. It ignore intersectionality and has issue in its divisive and binary approach to gender. Wouldnt it be better to either have a broader range of diversity in politics via universally uplifting disadvantaged groups. This also forgets the special relationship in British politics of constituent to their representative. This is often a far more personal relationship then it is with the party. I think this is threatened by the policy
